Does it fit my vehicle?
It works with any vehicle that has a standard U-shaped doors striker bolt. Open your car door and look at the door frame - you'll see the U-shaped metal fitting. If it's accessible and sticks out from the frame, the step will work.

What's the striker bolt? Is it the same as thedoor latch?
They are two different parts. The striker bolt is the U-shaped metal fitting bolted into the door frame (the B-pillar). The latch is the spring-loaded mechanism inside the door that grabs the striker when the door closes. this step hooks onto the striker - the frame-side component. It's sometimes called a "door latch step" in listings, but the striker bolt is what it actually attaches too.
Will it scratch my car?
The contact points are rubber-backed. In normal use it won't mark the door frame or paint.
Can I use it on the rear doors too?
Yes, on most 4-door vehicles. Rear door striker positions vary - some sit higher or ar a different angle. Same rule: if you can see and reach the U-shaped striker bolt, it'll work.
What's the weight limit
The step is manufacturer-rated 310 lbs / 140 kg. The striker bolt it hooks onto is governed by SAE Document J839B (the US automotive standard for door latch systems), which requires it to withstand:
- 2,500 lbs of vertical force — straight down, the same direction as someone standing on the step
- 2,000 lbs of horizontal force — sideways, what keeps your door closed in a crash
